ABOUT US
AFL Pakistan is the official international affiliate of AFL (Australian Football League) and is the official and sole governing body for Australian Rules Football in Pakistan. Established to develop, govern and promote the sport nationwide, AFL Pakistan is recognized by the Pakistan Sports Board and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) as a registered not-for-profit sports organization under Section 42.
Since 2014, AFL Pakistan has been actively working to introduce and expand Australian Rules Football across Pakistan through grassroots participation, player development, coaching programs, school and community engagement, and the establishment of local clubs and regional structures. Our mission is to build a sustainable pathway for Pakistani athletes to compete and succeed at the international level while creating opportunities for youth through sport, leadership and community development.
Over the years, AFL Pakistan has organized local tournaments, training camps, exhibition matches and development initiatives aimed at increasing participation and awareness of the sport throughout the country. The organization continues to work towards creating a strong domestic football structure capable of producing elite athletes, coaches, officials and administrators for the future of the game in Pakistan.
Pakistan has proudly represented the country in multiple international Australian Rules Football competitions and development events, including appearances in 2014, 2017 and 2022. In 2022, Pakistan achieved a historic milestone when the national men’s team won the Asian Championship in Thailand, marking one of the greatest achievements for the sport in the country and establishing Pakistan as an emerging force in Asian Australian Rules Football.
